Shift Supervisor (Perm Afternoons)

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 14:00 - 22:00 (40 Hours)

Pay Rate: £13.10ph

Job Description: 

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Shift Supervisor to join our team at our family run recycling factory. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Shift Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations during their assigned shift, supervising a small team to ensure that production plans are implemented smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Monitor production processes and workflow, making adjustments as necessary to meet production goals.
• Assist in the implementation of the production plan, addressing any issues that may arise during the shift.
• Perform light repair and maintenance work on machinery and equipment to minimise downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics, equipment performance, and any maintenance activities.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment, providing guidance and support to team members.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or recycling environment preferred
• Basic mechanical skills and experience with equipment repair and maintenance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
